Beverage: When Life Hands you Prickly Pears,
Make Prickly Pear Margaritas:
and blend until the ice just melts. Serve straight, rocks, or over crushed ice. You can garnish, if you want, with a lime twist or slice, or peel another prickly pear and cut into spears. Prickly pears, or tuna, are cactus fruit. They have little spiny dots; they are prickly. Be wary. I saved some of the prickly pear juice and served a taste before serving the drink, to orient the palate. The juice is delightful. Make extra to serve plain, with other juices, with sparkling water and a little lime, or more Margaritas. Makes two 6 ounceish drinks.
